Get your ISNI
As an individual you can get your ISNI by applying through a Registration Agency for your unique identifier, which links to professional databases and directories. Your ISNI provides authoritative disambiguation and collocation - distinguishing you from others who might share your name, and bringing together different ways in which your name might be listed (M. B. Smith vs. Michele Smith vs. Michele B. Smith).
Modify & enrich the ISNI database
You can also help us enhance the quality of the ISNI database by freely submitting proposals through the public interface of the ISNI database. Each ISNI record page contains a box labeled “Help us improve this record”.
Your proposal is considered by the ISNI Quality Team (provided by the Bibliothèque nationale de France and the British Library). You are then notified of the changes made to the database thanks to your contribution.
